Sammy Hagar and The Circle will perform at Pala Casino Spa & Resort on Saturday, May 19.

Things are going to heat up at Pala Casino Spa & Resort when the ‘Red Rocker’ himself Sammy Hagar and The Circle perform and help kick off the opening of the resort’s new pool complex on Saturday, May 19.

In addition to the six pools and hot tubs, there will be outdoor fireplaces, cabanas, waterfalls and an outdoor restaurant and bar area near the Starlight Theater where concerts are held under the stars. Pool guests must be 21 and older.

The pool will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. before the concert.

The pool complex is part of Pala’s $170 million expansion project, which includes a new hotel wing, gaming space and overhaul of Luis Rey’s restaurant. The hotel tower is scheduled to open in 2019.

Hagar, a Fontana native, has been rocking out for decades including a solo career as well as stints fronting Van Halen, Montrose and Chickenfoot. He’s also penned a cookbook and autobiography, owns a rum company and started the tequila line Cabo Wabo which he parlayed into a chain of cantinas.

Tickets for the Sammy Hagar concert are $109-$119 and go on sale Friday, March 2. To purchase tickets call 877-946-7252 or 800-585-3737 or visit the box office at Pala Casino Spa & Resort or online at palacasino.com or startickets.com.

Other acts coming to Pala this summer are Brian Setzer, Huey Lewis and The News, The Isley Brothers, Kenny Loggins and comedians Jo Koy and Russell Peters.
